Original Work Direct From
The Artist
These are original drawings/paintings by Dayadevi J. Heart-Catterall.
They are not prints. I CREATED them individually with the help of Spirit.
ATC stands for Artist Trading Card; ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions,
and Originals. They are fun, collectible, and affordable. Drawing and
creating with Spirit is my Passion. I intend you find, among my creations,
original pieces of art that speak to you. My time, love, joy and intention
are put into each one!
Artist trading cards are both traded for other cards and traded for monetary
values acceptable to both parties. I have chosen to trade my artwork for
cash in order to support my art. If there is an item I am interested in,
I may be open to trade.
Please note: All the Art on these web pages are one of a kind originals.
They are signed (usually front and back), and museum numbered by the artist,
Dayadevi Heart-Catterall. Colors may vary slightly on different
computers compared to actual item. Artist has NO control over this.
About Dayadevi and Spirit's Process:
I use quality professional archival artist pencils, card stock and/or
artist paper, as well as the best acrylic paint I can find, usually Jo
Sonja's paint (sometimes Americana or Delta Creamcoat for the base color
of the card.) My "finish" is either UV resistant water based clear
varnish or cold process laminate.
A sketch is usually made of the piece to be painted or drawn. It is then
transferred onto the card stock and the painting/drawing begins. This
is done, in order to ensure each item "fits" on the mini canvas.
The canvas is prepared by sealing the card/paper with UV resistant varnish,
then applying at least 2 base coats of color to each side (to prevent
curling) and then the design part begins. Particularly with flower painting,
there are many layers of glaze in-between layers of painting. When the
creation is "done" it is signed. Then on the back, the card is numbered,
signed again and given an address where artist can be reached; usually
but not always, given a name. Then the ATC receives at least two more
coats of varnish to protect your investment for many years to come. It
is sometimes "edged" in a gold and/or silver acrylic.
The card is then put into a "flower pressing book" to ensure dryness
and flatness. When completed the card is put into a plastic sleeve, similar
to those used for baseball cards or other types of trading cards. Before
shipping anywhere, the card is put into another zip lock bag to ensure
no damage comes to the painting.
The artist retains all copyright privileges and protections. That means
cardholder can own the artwork; but not the right to reproduce, copy,
or publish the artwork without the artist's written permission. The artist
also reserves the right to reproduce or create a similar design of this
artwork. All my cards are numbered, photographed and scanned for my records.
You can tell, within the number below each ATC, if it is:
painted with acrylic = a
colored pencil = p
varnished =v
laminated = l
scratch board = s
This is an excellent way to buy original ART FROM A LIVING ARTIST
. My art is copyrighted, ALL rights reserved. A sale is not a transfer
of copyrights. No art is to be copied or sold without the express, written
permission of the artist.
As always, the item will be an Original! Thank you for looking and I intend
that you enjoy! Please bookmark this site, so you can see my progress
and enjoy the creations.
